Germany Travel Diary - Dresden

The city of Dresden is mostly made up of the Dresden Castle, somewhat similar to Versailles in France but much less extravagant and of course, with a different architecture. Since I only had one day in Dresden, I didn't get to see as much as I would have liked.

Dresden, Germany

This city has some history behind it, it was bombed during World War II by Britain and the United States, but thankfully it has been restored following the bombing. Ill just be honest and say that I don't know much about the city, as we were in a rush and didn't even have time to grab a map. This post is not really in deep detail, mostly pictures because there was really not much that we did except look around and snap pictures, but I promise that the next travel diary post will be a lot more descriptive.

One thing that definitely stood out to me about the building was the crown at the front entrance, which you can see to the right of the picture above. This is like the crowns for the royals and it's interesting to see it propped on top of the building.

The place had a cable car going through the town, but it also had horse drawn carriages, so it was like the new and the old together. Outside of the Dresden castle was more of a residential area, so the touristy part was mainly inside this area.
