Charity Ball

Sometimes it's nice to dress down in a comfy sweater and leggings, but other days it's fun to dress up. Last week I attended a school event, that we call Charity Ball, which is similar to homecoming, but minus the football part. It was so much fun to dress up and have a great night out, since most of my nights are spent in bed catching up on the latest blog posts and TV shows.

I am absolutely obsessed with this dress from Urban Outfitters. It's this gorgeous maroon color, which by the way, is a more flattering shade for my skin tone, and it has lace at the top. My favorite part about the dress is the beautiful embellishment on the sleeves and the neckline. The embellishment makes the dress look so pretty! However, the sweetheart neckline lies quite low, which is definitely a inconvenience, but I've been able to overlook that, since I'm in love with the design of the dress. It just makes me feel confident in it and is absolutely magnificent!

To hold my things, I just grabbed this wallet from Target, since it has a strap on it, so I can just use to carry around my phone and some money. This was super convenient, since I didn't have much to hold and my usual wallet doesn't have a wrist strap.

I paired the dress with these heels that I literally put on at the last second before leaving the house. These are from Aldo and I've had them for a pretty long time, so I couldn't find the link since they're out of stock. These are two toned, all black on the straps and the toes and a mixed gray on the heels.

And lastly, primping. I rarely ever curl my hair, since it takes so much time out of my day and is hardly worth it, since they don't stay in very well. However, for that night, I made an exception, since I just felt like curled hair would look nicely with the dress and I don't mind curling my hair every now and then for various occasions.

Shop the look!
