Best of the Internet

Last week has had surprisingly low stress and I'm hoping that this week will as well. Recently I've been able to succeed in something that I had wanted and also get past something else that was really stressing me out, which has been leaving a positive effect on my life. So today I look forward. I'm hoping that this week I can really channel my energy into creating new content, maybe even some videos for Mondays. Whatever I'm going to do this week, I'm feeling refreshed and inspired. Time to take this week and make it fantastic.

One // Overcoming the Fear of Not Being Good Enough

Honestly, I suffer from this feeling daily. I'm terrified of doing things that are risky because I fear that I'm not good enough, that I don't have what it takes to succeed. The thing is that everyone has their own insecurities, worries that they're not good enough. This post covers why we feel this way and how to tackle it, because the truth is that you are good enough.

Two // How to Make Friends as an Adult

Remember those days in elementary school where you would talk to someone new and instantly find yourself with a new friend? I wish that it was still that easy today. I feel like the more that I grow up, the harder it is to make friends. It's not only because I'm insanely selective, but I'm shy. This post covers some things that you can do to make some new friends, you're always surrounded by potential friends.

Three // Shoot Tips: Don't Pose, Direct!

I'm always looking for new ways to tackle a photoshoot for outfit posts. It's just so awkward to just stand around and smile. There's a lot more that goes into a photo then you think, much more planning to it. In order to make a photo look authentic and real, you have to figure out how to relax and post right. While I'm definitely not a photographer, I love a good portrait shoot. This post puts a new perspective on posing because it's a little like acting, stepping into the role of the kind of person that the photo should embody. A photo is a snapshot in time, and in order to portray a certain look, you have to embrace that look.
